Colleges Meet Growing Vegetarian Demand

Vegetarianism is more popular than ever, particularly on college campuses. In fact, a study by Aramark, a leading food service provider, concluded that nearly a quarter of college students are actively seeking vegan options when they sit down to eat, for reasons ranging from their own health, to environmental concerns, and cruelty to animals. In addition, according to UTICAOD.com, 40 percent of college students are requesting vegetarian options in their dining halls. After all, since 1994, the amount of adults 18 and older who never eat meat has doubled....

Although not entirely correct, it can be helpful to many vegans. For example, the term "vegan" was coined in 1944, after a British woodworker named Donald Watson, because vegetarians ate eggs and dairy. ...
Why PETA is the way they are

I support PETA just because they spread vegetarianism, veganism, AR, etc etc so well, but I never liked them that much.


This is the video to watch if you have any kind of opinion about PETA. Ingrid Newkirk (president of PETA) has a video of why PETA does what it does, both their good AND bad sides, in a DVD called "I Am An Animal", it's well-made but I still don't agree with them. It's very interesting:
